 PROGAGONIST'S DREAM TECHNIQUE VERIFIED!

The author of Stirring Li Chao, S.E.Brandenburg, recently found himself  intrigued by an internet post. Unaware of the connection to "lucid dreaming" at the time of writing a scene in the book that describes a curious phenomena of sleep, wakefulness and control, a later reading of an article originated by IFL Science, entitled, "A TECHNIQUE FOR CONRTOLLING YOUR DREAMS HAS BEEN VERIFIED FOR THE FIRST TIME," heartily confirmed what he'd written years earlier.
Here's the opening paragraph from Chapter 26; "Kite," :

WHACK WHACK! WHACK! JARRED OUT OF A MORNING dream, the violent knocking on his door disrupted not only his sleep, but also his conception of things to come. Some time ago, at undetermined times, mostly in the state of sleep that comes just before a real awakening, Li Chao had found himself in a position to shape the outcomes of his dreams. The sudden interference disrupted that process. He’d come to believe that this ability to direct his dreams was some kind of recompense from heaven, a token mastery over a fanciful realm to compensate for a mercurial, often disconcerting reality. Equipped with a psyche that refused to accept darkened endings, during those rare moments that allowed him to participate as an architect of his own dreams, allowing for the adjustment of an otherwise sour attitude toward a new day’s start, the auditory intrusion did more than disrupt this practice. Something snuffed the candle out and walloped him into another reality—one that was not yet real."

Paha Sapa, in Lakota, is to say, "Black Hills." Not just for namesake, this site has an obligation to post and feature things related. The death of Dennis Banks is one of those things.

KARMA: a Showstopper—but Karma’s just for show?

The Bible teaches when as a child we spoke as such, but as adults, by contending with an enemy in the air, we put away the childish ways of fighting flesh and blood, but with so many wars, so many maimed, where are the causeways to keep our shoes from staining red?

On the cross then, on a plane that reaches up, quits the earth (and the heaviness thereof), downward goes the other arm to touch the central core. Feet grounded, head in the stars, of the East and West horizons, never the twain to meet, we’re told, but by extension toward opposing poles, the limits of pure expression stretch far enough to make the circled trip; there the union is complete.

What role has Karma then?
